Message to all owners of boats currently stored at Grenada Marine

Please be advised following in the wake of hurricane Ivan on 7/9/04 which devastated 90% of the churches, schools businesses, homes and hospitals on Grenada taking telephones and electricity out as well. We at Grenada Marine are doing everything humanly possible to address your concerns and worries. We are all OK, family, employees, friends all OK, but no houses. Of the 200 boats we have stored 31 were pushed over, please review the attached list for status of your vessel. This list will be updated as we progress. To owners of damaged boats please contact your insurance, so we can be informed of their choice of surveyor, in order to facilitate the beginning of the lifting of downed vessels. We have the ability to lift, re-rig & carry out all the necessary repairs on your vessel. Even though power has not yet been restored, Grenada Marine is running on generated power from dust till dawn providing light and charging abilities where possible. Due to the shear volume of email, please note we are attempting to answer all of you as quickly as possible. Please bear with us, we are as concerned about your boat as you are, however circumstances are difficult to say the least to access fresh water, food and shelter. We will be getting detailed reports on all of the damaged boats and we'll be forwarding photos, survey reports, etc. As these things happen all concerned will be addressed. Please check back with this site. As we will be posting photos, updates, etc. as time progresses. As the managing director of Grenada Marine I would like to convey my concerns, apologies, regrets, many emotions that I am feeling about the conditions of the damaged vessels in my yard.
